OH, HELLO, CAPE TOWN!

Spes Bona: good hope, beautiful places, and plenty to explore.

Cape Town, framed by Table Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean, is a city of contrasts: wild landscapes, historic neighbourhoods, creative energy, excellent food, and an easygoing coastal rhythm. From 13 Avenue St Louis in Fresnaye, the city is yours to explore.

Start close to home along the Atlantic Seaboard. Walk the Sea Point Promenade, swim at Clifton or Camps Bay, watch the sunset from Bantry Bay, or follow the slopes of Lion’s Head for some of Cape Town’s most spectacular views.

In the city centre, explore the colourful Bo-Kaap, the Company’s Garden, the South African National Gallery, and the museums and galleries around the City Bowl. Bree Street, Kloof Street, and Long Street are ideal for independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and late-afternoon drinks.

The V&A Waterfront and Green Point offer harbour views, shopping, restaurants, galleries, and easy access to the Zeitz MOCAA. For a more local atmosphere, explore neighbourhoods such as Woodstock, Observatory, and the Old Biscuit Mill, where food, design, art, and music come together.

Nature is never far away. Visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, hike Table Mountain or Lion’s Head, explore the Constantia wine estates, or take the scenic route south through Kalk Bay, St James, and Simon’s Town to see the penguins at Boulders Beach. Further afield, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope make for an unforgettable day by the ocean.

Cape Town’s food and wine scene is as varied as its landscapes, from fresh seafood and neighbourhood cafés to farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, wine bars, and some of the country’s most acclaimed dining rooms. The Cape Winelands, including Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Constantia, are within easy reach for a relaxed day of tastings and long lunches.

For guests who prefer a more effortless way to explore, private driver services can be arranged at an additional cost. Let a knowledgeable local guide take you from mountain trails and coastal roads to hidden restaurants, historic sites, and the places you might otherwise miss.
